JONES, HELEN DODSON Jones, Helen Dodson, age 87, of Hueytown, Alabama passed away Friday, August 24, 2012. Mrs. Jones was born in Elkton, Virginia, on August 14, 1925 to Dudley and Grace Dodson. Mrs. Jones was a member of First Christian Church in Bessemer and was a retired nurse and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years Clay B. Jones, her daughter Helen Jones Kennedy, her granddaughter Jessica Carroll, her grandson Joseph Kennedy, her parents, her brother George Dodson and Richard Dodson and her sister-in-law, Jo Dodson. Mrs. Jones is survived by her son Walker Bryant Jones (Judy), her daughter Marcia Brufsky (Allen) and son-in-law Bob Kennedy; her grandchildren, Gregory Glover, Adam Woodard (Chanda), Shelley Grace Jones, Virgin Ingersoll (Keith) and Jordan Bryant Jones; great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Rebecca and Carson Woodard and Benjamin Ingersoll. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 29th from 11:00 A.M. until noon at Valhalla Funeral Home with services following at noon at the funeral home. Internment will follow at Valhalla Cemetery. Dr. J. Kim Pilkinton will be officiating.
