I give up! on crochet!

OH MY!!!

Sometimes you just QUIT!

I love~love crochet dishrags.  I had several before, and really

loved them.  Well, you just can't find them anymore so I decided

to try and learn how to crochet.

Forrest, was very patient with me and tried.

Then I took a class ---

Picked out the pretty blue yarn and got started.

For 3 hours I worked trying to figure it out.  Poor Teacher--- she

had a hard time with me.

What a MESS!!  It wouldn't even straighten out.
Sad Sad Sad.
So I just decided I would quit.

This came in the mail today~~~ a lovely dishrag
from Forrest!
I love it - so I see no need for me to continue.

I QUIT!

A Deer Encounter

Last night Windy had an encounter with 2 deer.  Out of nowhere they both
jumped at her from the side.  My pictures really didn't turn out very well,
because it was really bright when I took them, but she got some major
dents on the entire driver side.  Boo Hoo ~ that is very sad especially when you
have only had your car less than a year.  She was OK though.  Just startled!

I did go back today and
found the missing trim strip!

This is GROSS!!  It's
deer hair.  It is stuck all over her
car.  They really got up close
and personal.

We had first sleepover, of the new year, at Evelyn's.

We both received a Paula Deen recipe calendar from Carolyn

for Christmas.

Day 5 out of school

It's been a long time since I have been out of school for 5 days in a row.  It sure

has helped January move by quicker.  Even though cabin fever does begin to

sit in.  I have been out 1 time since I came home from school one week ago.

I plan to go to Kingsport tonight and spend the night.  Change of scenry

will (should) do me some good.

This poor pumpkin has been my only source of color when I look out.

 Well, I did use an entire bottle of red food coloring to make a red heart.

 Thursday morning, when I looked out our driveway was covered again.  It quickly melted when the sun came out.

 Well, when you stay home for 5 days - time to clean out the cabinets.  They can get in pretty bad shape when you have Mike unloading the dishwasher.  I do appreciate the help, but I like my dishes to all be together according to their pattern.  So I got them all back together and told Mike NOT to put anything away.  Guess that's more work for me.  I'm sure I will change my mind quickly and it won't bother me as much.

 The problem may be that I have too many dishes!  NEVER!!

What can you do when you are stuck inside all day?
